Mont-Sainte Anne, Quebec
Race report 1 Comment »Since it’s been about a month I guess it’s time for me to write again. Somehow the school semester kept me writing despite homework and class time. Now that I’m a bike racer full time I have a hard time sitting down at my computer. I guess I thrive with a busy schedule and little time to think about time. Well I’m checking in from Mont-Sainte Anne, Québec where I just finished my first world cup of the year—second world cup ever. I’m already looking forward to next weekend, world cup #2 of my season. I’d like to do a little better as yesterday I finished a disappointing 48th. Nevertheless, I had a lot of fun. There’s a ton of energy from spectators and sponsors that has made this event one of my favorite. There’s a section of the course—a steep switch backed climb—where spectators must have lined the course three or four deep. My teammate Georgia finished sixth but led for the first couple laps. That’s her best result at a world cup and incredibly impressive for a rookie world cup racer. Well that’s all for now and I hope to get some pictures up in a few day. Take care.
