I spent the 4th of July in my parent’s garden…gardening with my Mom. A couple years ago I may have pulled some weeds from a flower bed, and I’ve probably mowed and watered the unruly lawn a few times since then. That’s about it. Gardening has never been my thing. I made the mistake of forgetting the “before” shots. Here’s a brief run down of the workload: we dug up renegade grass for a couple hours, installed some edging, raked the flower beds, added some stinky compost soil to the mix, and did some transplanting. The weird thing is that I check on my plants every day now–and they’re growing! I think I want a garden some day…

Don’t they look happy?

The day after the gardening episode I rode some trails up in Nederland with Ann Trombley and Erin Huck. Oh what fun–too bad I left my camera at home. Now I’m prepping for my 3-hour nutrition final I have to take this afternoon. Hopefully it doesn’t take that long because I have to pay the exam proctor $15/hour. I should probably do some last-minute studying…
